      Fast freshman--
Freshman Landry Reames runs the anchor leg of the 800-meter relay at the district meet in Andrews on April 1.  Reames and sophomore Blake Flowers stepped in to help the team qualified for area after two of the senior sprinters were injured.
      BEAT SPECIAL REPORT: Track teams qualify over 20 for area competition
      District runner up--The Indian track team accumulated 126 points and 12 area qualifiers at the district meet.
      Indians qualify 11 for area track meet
      District runners up--The Maiden track team took second overall at the district meet with 118 points and nine area qualifiers in 14 events on March 31 and April 1.
      Ten Maidens qualify for area track

Senior guard Eli Beard maneuvers around a Pecos player during the 88-21 district win over the Eagles on Feb. 9. Beard finished the game with 24 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
