Indian golf takes second at home meet

Top Indian–Junior Bailey Cavazos takes practice swings during the Seminole invitational on March 8. The Indians took second overall.

The Indian golf team took second with 356 strokes behind Cooper at its home meet on March 8. The meet was held at Yoakum County Golf Course due to maintenance at the Gaines County facility.

Junior Briley Cavazos led all Indian golfers with 81 strokes. Other Indians included freshman Ethan Robles with 89 strokes, senior Caleb Kildow with 91 strokes, sophomore Bryce Lopez with 95 strokes and senior Isaac Garcia with 99 strokes.

The Indian B team took sixth with 421 strokes. Freshman Blayze Bandy had 99 strokes, freshman Ean Navarro had 105 strokes, freshman Royal Carnes had 106 strokes and freshman Keagan Villalva had 111 strokes.
