Maiden volleyball advances to area round Saturday

The Maiden volleyball team will face Greenwood in the area round at 6 p.m. on Nov. 4 in Andrews.

The Maidens defeated Dalhart 25-13, 25-19, 25-12 to take the bi-district championship on Oct. 31. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students.

Several Maidens had double digit stats for the match. Senior setter Taylor Roberts had 16 assists and 14 kills against the Lady Wolves, while senior setter Jodie Vaughn had 22 assists and 10 digs. Junior defensive specialist Havyn Perez had 11 digs. Junior defensive specialist Lexy Hernandez had 11 service points.
