Freshman qualifies for state cross country meet

Freshman Hailey Davis qualified for state as the 10th individual at the region cross country meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Oct. 23.

Davis will run in the state meet at 2:40 p.m. on Nov. 4 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

The Maiden team took 10th place at the region meet, 11 spots better than last year’s finish.

The Indians took 19th place, moving up two spots from last year.
