MEDAL MAN: Greenfield takes second, third in state races

Senior Trevor Greenfield took two medals at the state track meet in Austin on May 10.

Greenfield, who spent the majority of his high school career on the injury list, finally took his hurdling prowess to higher levels, qualifying in the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles.

In the 110 hurdles, Greenfield ran the race in 14.30 seconds for third place behind Argyle’s Reese Thompson and Caldwell’s J.J. Jackson, while senior Hayden Everitt took sixth in 14.57.

In the 300 hurdles, Greenfield clocked 38.94 seconds taking second place to Gilmer’s Nick Smith’s first place.

Overall, Greenfield and Everitt amassed 15 points for 13th in the team standings for 3A.
