State SkillsUSA– The chapter took bronze medals and a gold level chapter of excellence award at state on April 7 in Corpus Christi.

SkillsUSA members took several awards at the state level on April 7.

The Auto Tech SkillsUSA chapter was recognized as a gold level chapter of excellence, which relates the integration of the SkillsUSA framework in chapter program of work development. According to Auto Tech SkillsUSA sponsor Thomas Spence, the more the chapter applies the framework, the greater the chances of CEP honors.

The chapter’s community service project with the team of senior Sydni Spence, sophomore Jarell Banman and senior Alexandra Wall with “Give a Child a Smile” took a bronze medal.

The health knowledge bowl team of senior Amy Segura, senior Christina Ramirez, junior Adamaris Rodriguez Peregrino and sophomore Alyssa Parra took a bronze medal.

“Unity is strength,” Medical SkillsUSA sponsor Sarai Trevino said. “Challenges produce leaders, and wonderful things can be achieved through teamwork and collaboration.”
