46 vocalists qualify for state solo and ensemble competition

Forty-six choir members qualified for state solo and ensemble competition at tryouts on Feb. 3 at Frenship High School. State qualifiers will compete in Pflugerville in May.

In order to advance to state, students must perform a Class I (higher level) solo and receive a Division 1 (superior rating) from the judge.

State-qualifying solos include: senior Isabel Acosta, junior Abigail Avitia Lopez, senior Courtney Blair, sophomore Jaicen Clark, sophomore Garrett Currie, sophomore Braylee Dufour, sophomore Madison Dyck, junior Carson Early, freshman Robin Franklin, sophomore Kimberly Froese, senior Isaac Garcia, freshman Samantha Gutierrez, sophomore Delaney Hall, freshman Lisa Klassen, junior Barbara Landero Capetillo, sophomore Erin Lentz, junior Thomas Letkeman, senior Jamie Philipp, junior Josh Ramirez, senior Juliet Rempel, freshman Karlissa Rempel, freshman Kaillon Sawatzky, junior Austin Shortes, sophomore Cassey Thiessen, freshman Amber Wilkey, senior Lori Wilson, senior Abigail Wolf and freshman Moises Ybaben-Burciaga.

Division 1 (superior) rating on Class II solo were: freshman Laysha Castillo, freshman Riley Davidson, freshman Kelseigh Friesen, freshman Camila Gonzalez, freshman Aurora Jimenez, freshman Jazlyn Navarro, freshman Andrea Neufeld and Jacqueline Peters.
