Homecoming week approaches

The 2016 homecoming week will include events based on the journey.

Spirit days include:

Music Monday–themed music between classes

Tacky Tourist Tuesday–dress like a tourist (must be within dress code)

Wings Up Wednesday–wear airport attire (comfortable travel clothes within dress code)

Battle of the Nations Thursday–each class dresses with a different country’s theme (freshmen are Italy, sophomores are Egypt, juniors are Brazil and seniors are Japan)

Thursday (Sept. 1) will also include the parade. The parade will once again begin in the high school back parking lot and continue past FJ Young Elementary where it will turn toward the old junior high. Line up for floats will be between 6 and 6:15 p.m.

After the parade, with weather too wet for the bonfire, students will gather in the BIG ROOM practice facility at Wigwam Stadium around 8:30 p.m. for homecoming activities.

On Friday, the homecoming pep rally will be at 2 p.m., and the football game versus Idalou begins at 7:30 p.m.

The coronation of the homecoming queen will be at halftime. The candidates for queen are seniors Cambri Addison, Madeline Hiebert and Nikki Loewen. The court includes junior Celine Diaz, sophomore Phiona Hiebert and freshman Analyssa Betancourt.
