Forensics takes second at Midland Lee

The speech and deate team took second place at Midland Lee on Oct. 18.

Junior Ivan Froese, senior Jordan Smith and senior Jimmie Vaughn qualified for Texas Forensics Association state competition.

In duet acting, senior Alissa Wright and junior Kelby Miller took second, junior Blayne Childers and sophomore Madeline Hiebert took fourth, and sophomore Lauren Franco and Froese took sixth.

In duo interpretation, Childers and Miller took first, Smith and Froese took second, sophomore Faith Klassen and sophomre Ashley Harder took third. In prose, Childers was sixth.

In dramatic interpretation, Miller was first, Childers was fourth, and Harder was sixth.

In poetry, Harder was fourth, and sophomore Grace Hatley was sixth.

In domestic extemporaneous speaking, Vaughn was first, and senior Kyle Rickman was sixth.

In original oratory, Vaughn was first.

In Lincoln-Douglas debate, senior Justin Ledesma was third.

In humorous interpretation, Miller was first.

Miller was named outstanding interper.
