The Pride of the Tribe to compete in region marching contest Saturday
Marching contest– The Pride of the Tribe performs in the prelims at the Tumbleweed Classic in Denver City on Oct. 15. The band took first in 4A and third overall.
The Pride of the Tribe will compete in region marching contest on Oct. 22 at Lowrey Field in Lubbock. (schedule still to be announced)
The band took third overall and first in 4A at the Tumbleweed Classic in Denver City on Oct. 15, with its “Luck of the Irish” show which features “Danny Boy”, “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”, “Irish Washerwoman” and “Highland Cathedral”. The show features senior Layne Alvarado on trumpet and junior Kami Luettgen on snare drum during “Danny Boy”.
On Oct. 8, the band took first in 4A and 10th overall at the Lubbock Westerner contest.
